Schedule a sale with Campaign Planner

Set up your bundle widgets once and let Campaign Planner switch them on and off on the dates you choose.

Written by Thomas Ta

📖 Campaign Planner lets you build a sale once and schedule it to switch on and off by itself. Pick your dates, add the bundle widgets you want to run, and Boost turns them on and off for you. Only one campaign runs at a time, so your campaign dates cannot overlap.

⚠️ This feature only works with Boost AI Search & Discovery TURBO version.

Before you start

  • Create your bundle widgets first. Campaign Planner schedules widgets that already exist, it does not create them. To make one, follow How to create a Bundle.

  • Only one campaign runs at a time. Campaign dates cannot overlap, so plan your season before you start building.

⚠️ Adding a widget that is running now hides it straight away. If a bundle widget is live on your storefront and you add it to a campaign, it stops showing immediately and comes back when the campaign starts. This is intentional, because the campaign takes over the widget's schedule. Add live widgets to a campaign only when you are ready for them to disappear until the start date.

Where to find Campaign Planner

In your Boost app admin, go to Campaign planner. [

If you have not built a campaign yet, you see the empty state. Click + Add campaign to start.

Create a campaign

Building a campaign takes three steps.

Step 1: Campaign settings

Field

What to do

Campaign name (required)

Name your campaign, for example "Black Friday 2026". Only you see this name. Pick something that helps you find the campaign later.

Internal description (optional)

A note for your team about what this campaign is for. Your customers never see it.

Schedule

Pick the date and time your campaign starts and ends. Everything inside the campaign switches on and off on these dates.

Click Next to continue.

💡 Times are shown in your own timezone. If you open the campaign from somewhere else, the time on screen changes, but your campaign still runs at the same real moment.

Your dates cannot overlap another campaign. If they do, you see an alert when you save at Step 3. Go back to Step 1 and adjust your dates.

Step 2: Features and rules

This is where you choose what your campaign does.

  1. Click Add next to Bundle widgets.

  2. Tick the widgets you want to include. You can select as many as you like.

  3. Click Add.

If the list is empty, you have not created any bundle widgets yet. Click Go to Predictive Bundle to build one in a new tab, then come back and add it.

Each widget you add shows its name, its widget ID with a copy icon, and its running time. The copy icon is useful when you are adding blocks to your theme.

Run a widget for part of the campaign

By default every widget runs for the whole campaign. To change that, click the edit icon on the widget and pick a running time.

  • Follows campaign (default): the widget runs for the whole campaign. If you change your campaign dates later, the widget follows them automatically.

  • Custom range: the widget runs only between the dates you set. Your range has to sit inside the campaign window, and it does not follow the campaign if you change the campaign dates later.

💪 Use Custom range for something like a one day doorbuster inside a week long sale. Leave everything else on Follows campaign so you only have one set of dates to maintain.

To take a widget out of the campaign, click the delete icon next to it.

Click Next when you are done.

Step 3: Add your widgets to your live theme

A widget only appears on your storefront if its block exists in your live theme. This step checks that for you.

What to do

Needs theme block

A block is missing from your live theme. Click Add to theme and follow to add it.

Click Save to schedule to finish.

Manage your campaigns

Your campaigns are split across three tabs.

For each campaign you see its name, the features it uses, and its start and end date and time. Click a campaign name to open and edit it.

Hover a feature icon to see which feature it is, and a warning if any of its widgets are not in your live theme yet.

What happens to your widgets

Once a widget is in a campaign, the campaign controls when it shows.

When

A widget in your campaign

Before it starts

Hidden from your storefront

While it runs

Shows on your storefront

After it ends

Hidden, and its status is set back to Paused

Widgets that are not in a campaign are not affected. They keep running exactly as they did before.

💡 If you take a widget out of a campaign, its status is set to Paused. To show it on your storefront again, switch it back on in Predictive bundles.
