Is there any risk in upgrading to TURBO? Can I switch back to the previous version?

Upgrading to TURBO will replace your current theme integration. This process cannot be undone; however, we recommend the following to minimize any risk:

  • Duplicate your live theme before upgrading (Online Store > Themes > Duplicate).

  • Test the TURBO version on an unpublished or duplicate theme to avoid disruptions to your live store.

💪 If you decide not to continue with TURBO, you can easily switch back to a previous version via Account Settings > App Preferences, provided you have used it before.

Will my custom settings be preserved when upgrading to TURBO?

Your feature settings (e.g., filter trees, synonyms) will remain intact after migration. However:

  • Recommendation Widgets and Visual Design settings (V3) or Default Theme Settings (V1, V2) will not carry over.

  • You will need to manually re-add Recommendation Widgets and customize the Widget template to restore your previous layout and design.

To support a smooth transition, we provide:

  • Prebuilt templates

  • An enhanced Visual Editor

  • A brand-new Code Editor

  • Smart Styling (Fetch styles from a URL)

We recommend reviewing all settings after upgrading and making adjustments as needed.
