How to set up Boost AI Search and Discovery from Shopify App Store

Set up Boost AI Search & Discovery in your Shopify store

To avoid any possible conflict, it is recommended to remove any old filter app before installing our app. You can install the app easily through the Shopify App Store by following these steps:

  1. Log in to the Shopify App Store.

  2. Find and click the app Boost AI Search & Discovery provided by Boost Commerce.

  3. On the app listing page, click Add app.

  4. In your Shopify admin, to authorize the use of the app, click Install app.

  5. On the app's greeting screen, What do you want to build with Boost?, select the answers that best suit your needs, then click the Next button.

  • Explore the Dashboard: Click Take Me to Dashboard to start on your journey with Boost AI Search & Discovery. Here, you can revolutionize your store's search and discovery experience with our comprehensive solutions for Filters, Search, Recommendations, Analytics, and more.

  • Publish Features: Clicking Publish features will direct you to our Shopify integration menu. Follow our guide to seamlessly integrate Boost widgets into your theme and customize the widgets' appearance to align with your brand.


When you cannot install Boost AI Search & Discovery

Missing installation information on the app

When trying to install Boost AI Search & Discovery, you might see a black screen and keep receiving a message as “yourstore.myshopify.com redirected you too many times" (With yourstore as your real Shopify store name). Sometimes, the incident occurs because Shopify is unable to redirect your store to our installation page, and your store will miss the app’s installation information from our system.

You can follow these steps to fix the issue:

  1. Log in to your Shopify admin page.

  2. Go to Apps or yourstore.myshopify.com/admin/apps (Replace yourstore with your Shopify store name)

  3. Copy and paste this link to the browser bar: https://yourstore.myshopify.com/admin/oauth/authorize?client_id=d4172f8181a20b56ade67cc448fac594&scope=read_products,%20read_orders,%20read_themes,%20read_content,%20write_themes,%20read_script_tags,%20write_script_tags,%20read_locales,%20read_translations,%20read_locations,%20read_inventory&redirect_uri=https://bc-sf-filter-admin-html-v2.mybcapps.com/oauth/finalize&state=bcfilter@2016

App admin is showing as blank on Chrome

If you are using the Google Chrome browser, our app may occasionally show as blank. This incident may occur because your Chrome browser is blocking 3rd party cookies. To troubleshoot this issue:

  1. On your computer, open Chrome. At the top right, click More > Settings > Privacy and security > Cookies and other site data.

  2. Select an option:

    • Allow all cookies.

    • Block all cookies (not recommended).

    • Block third-party cookies in Incognito.

    • Block third-party cookies.

  • If you block third-party cookies, all cookies and site data from our app are blocked, even if the site is allowed on your exceptions list.
