How to add Boost Filter & Search feature on your custom theme
By default, Boost filter & search works on the Default collection theme template. If you use a custom theme template, you must manually enable our app.
β οΈ Boost AI Search and Discovery's Filter & Search feature only works on Collection pages and Search result pages.
Check your collection's theme template to determine which one is applied on the live page. Follow this Shopify article to access your collection's Theme template settings.
βAfter you identify the applied custom Theme template on your collection, you can go to your Shopify admin > Online store > Themes > find the [Target Theme] you'd like to adjust > click Customize.
In your Theme editor, select Collection from the drop-down list to start editing your Collection page.
βFrom the Theme template list, select the one that you identified from your Collection's Theme template in Shopify admin from Step 1.
For example, my Boost Filter & Search is currently not displayed on my Shirt collection page, and the collection has my custom boost-sd-original theme template applied.
βTherefore, from the Theme template list, I will select "boost-sd-original" to proceed.
βFrom the left sidebar, click Add section > select Apps tab > select Product grid with Filters by Boost AI Search & Discovery.
βDrag and drop your Boost's Product Grid with Filters & Search to change its position to your liking.
βClick Save to save your changes.
That concludes how you can manually add Boost's Filter & Search feature to your custom theme template for your collection pages.
