📖 Pricing for Boost AI Search & Discovery is based on your store’s Base Gross Merchandise Value (GMV)—the total value of all products sold before subtracting discounts, shipping, or taxes (i.e., similar to gross sales). Your subscription plan is recommended automatically based on your Base GMV; you can always choose a higher plan if you expect growth.

Overview

Boost offers three main packages: Launch, Convert, and Accelerate.
Each package includes:

  • A GMV limit (the maximum sales volume included in that plan)

  • A set of features designed to support and grow your business

If your GMV is very high, you may qualify for an Enterprise plan. Contact Sales for a tailored plan.

Monthly price (what you pay)

Your monthly price may include:

  1. Subscription fee — a fixed monthly fee for your chosen package, charged upfront at the start of each billing cycle.

  2. Usage fee (Overage) — if your Base GMV exceeds your plan’s GMV limit, an overage fee is added. Overage is billed together with your subscription starting from your second payment cycle and is charged once in the month it occurs.

When Base GMV exceeds your current plan limit

If we detect that your Base GMV exceeds your plan’s limit, we will:

  • Send an immediate email to the store owner

  • Show a reminder message in the app admin

You will be charged an overage fee for the extra GMV:

  • $2 for every $1,000 beyond your plan limit

  • Cap rule: The overage fee is capped at the subscription fee of the tier that matches your new Base GMV

  • You pay this overage once in the month it occurs

  • You can upgrade anytime to save costs and unlock more features

Calculate & verify Base GMV

How we calculate Base GMV

  • We calculate your Base GMV using your store’s order data (with your permission).

  • This is the total sales of all products before taxes, shipping fees, discounts, or returns.

  • Boost always uses the product’s list price at the time of sale, regardless of later changes (discounts, refunds, taxes), in line with the standard definition of GMV.

  • Your Base GMV is the average GMV of the past 3 full months before you install or subscribe to the app.

Why a 3‑month average?

To keep pricing fair and stable and avoid one‑off spikes distorting your plan.

New stores without 3 months of sales

For any month without sales, GMV is recorded as 0 and we still divide by 3 to keep the calculation consistent.

Verify your GMV

There two options:

  1. Shopify Analytics: In Shopify admin → Analytics → Reports → Gross Sales (by month). Use this as a reference.

  2. Export from Boost: Use our export tool to download the data used to calculate your Base GMV. The file is emailed to you so you can compare it with your own order records.

⚠️ Numbers may differ slightly from Shopify reports because each platform calculates GMV differently. Contact Support if you have questions.

Overage fees & notifications

What happens when Base GMV is over your plan limit, and how overage is calculated.

Notifications

If your Base GMV exceeds the current plan’s limit, we:

  • Email the store owner immediately

  • Show a reminder in the app admin

Overage fee rules

  • $2 per $1,000 of GMV beyond your plan’s limit

  • Cap rule: Overage is capped at the subscription fee of the tier that matches your new Base GMV

  • Charged once in the month it occurs (not recurring)

  • You can upgrade at any time to a higher plan

Example

  • Current plan (October): Launch 2

    • Monthly fee: $59

    • GMV limit: $15,000

  • In November, Base GMV = $95,000 → falls under Convert 4 (fee $139)

    • Exceeded amount: $95,000 − $15,000 = $80,000

    • Calculated overage: ($80,000 ÷ $1,000) × $2 = $160

    • Cap applies: overage capped at $139 (the fee of Convert 4)

    • Total charge: $59 + $139 = $198
