📖 Show product recommendations inside your cart drawer (mini cart) to encourage add‑on purchases before checkout.

Create a Cart Drawer Recommendation widget
In Boost admin, go to Merchandising > Recommendation > Widgets.
Click Add new widget.
In Recommendation Type, select Cart Drawer.
Select your preferred Recommendation type.
Set up your widget’s content/rules and design.
Click Save & next until you reach the “add widget to theme” step.
Enable Boost Core (New) in Shopify
In Shopify admin, go to Online Store > Themes.
Click Customize on your target theme.
Open App embeds.
Turn on Boost Core (New).
Click Save.
Enable Cart Drawer in Boost Visual Design Editor
In Boost admin, go to Integration > Shopify Integration.
Find your theme and click Edit Visual Design.
Open Cart drawer.
Turn on the Cart drawer toggle.
Click Save.
⚠️ Disabling this toggle hides recommendations shown in the cart drawer. To customize Boost Ajax cart, follow this article.
Add the Recommendation app block to your cart drawer
In Shopify admin, go to Online Store > Themes > Customize.
Open the Cart drawer area/template in the theme editor.
Click Add section or Add block → Apps → select:
Recommendation (New) (Turbo), or
Boost Recommendation (V3)
Paste your widget ID (format:
cartdrawer-xxxxxx) into Widget ID.Click Save.
