Overview
Our Boost team periodically releases updated versions of the templates. These updated versions usually include new features, design enhancements, and bug fixes.
Depending on the template size and your internet connection, some templates need several minutes to complete the update, especially those with customization codes.
Check your template version
You can verify the status of your template by clicking Integration > Template library and then clicking the version number of the theme that you want to check. Version numbers are available on all installed templates in the Template Library section.
When your template is on the latest available version, a status message indicating that this template is up to date is displayed.
When an update for a template is available, a notification replaces the template version number in your Boost admin.
Manually update your template
To add an updated version of your template to your Template library, click the notification to open the details dialog, and then click 'Add latest version'
You can also click View Release Notes to read about the new template release.
When you update your template, any customizations you've made using the Visual Editor will be carried over to the new version. This includes changes to:
Changing Visual Editor settings
Altering page layouts, such as adding, reordering, removing, or hiding elements or sections
Creating new layouts
Making changes to wording on your online store using the Visual Editor
Important: If you've made code changes directly in the Code Editor that conflict with the new theme version, your custom code will not be automatically transferred. To preserve these changes, you'll need to manually copy them over to the updated template.
When you add a new theme version to your Template library, its name is prefixed with Updated of.
