Verify your template version

  1. In Boost, go to Integration > Shopify integration > Manage template.

  2. Find your template and click its version number.

    • Every installed template shows a version here.
Expected result: A status message confirms the template is up to date when you’re on the latest version.

When an update for a template is available, a notification replaces the template version number in your Boost admin.

Manually update your template

  1. In Boost, go to Integration > Shopify integration > Manage template.

  2. Find the template with an update notice and click the notification to open details.

  3. Click Add latest version.

    • (Optional) Click View Release Notes to see what’s new.
Expected result: The latest version is added to your Template Library.

What carries over automatically (Visual Editor changes)

  • Visual Editor settings.

  • Layout edits (add, reorder, remove, or hide elements/sections).

  • New layouts you created.

  • Text/wording changes made in the Visual Editor.

⚠️ Important: Custom code edited in the Code Editor doesn’t transfer if it conflicts with the new version. Manually copy any custom code into the updated template.

When you add a new theme version to your Template library, its name is prefixed with Updated of.
