Choose your plan during onboarding
When you install Boost AI Search & Discovery, choosing a plan is a step in the onboarding flow. You do not have to subscribe at this point, and you can skip the step and subscribe later.
Review your Estimated Base GMV. Click the info icon to see how it is calculated.
Review the plan recommended for your store. It is marked with a Recommended for you tag and lists the core features it includes.
Review the Special trial offer panel, which shows the extra features you unlock for the rest of your trial if you subscribe now, and the date your trial ends.
Click Start free trial & unlock all features to subscribe, or Skip to continue without subscribing.
💪 Tip: you are not charged until your 21-day trial ends, so subscribing during onboarding gives you the higher-tier features for the rest of your trial at no extra cost. To see what each plan includes, click View all pricing options.
If your Base GMV is still calculating
If we have not finished calculating your Base GMV when you reach this step, you see Estimated Base GMV: We are still calculating… and two plans you can choose from. You can subscribe to either one, or skip and decide later.
Once your GMV calculation finishes, your plan information is updated on the Subscription page and on your Home page.
If your Base GMV is within your plan's limit, we recommend keeping your current plan so you keep full feature access.
If your Base GMV is higher than your plan's limit, your Base GMV and Monthly GMV limit are shown in red and you are prompted to upgrade. Click Upgrade now to jump to the plans on the same page.
⚠️ You keep full feature access for the rest of your trial whether or not you upgrade. If you have not upgraded by the time your trial ends, the standard overage fee applies. See GMV-based Pricing plan overview for how overage is calculated.
Subscribe from the Subscription page during your trial
If you skipped the onboarding step, you can subscribe at any point during your trial. Go to Settings > Subscription, where the Special trial offer banner is shown for the length of your trial. Click Start free trial & unlock all features to open the payment popup for your current trial plan.
How to access/update your subscription
Open Boost AI Search & Discovery → Settings → Subscription.
Review the recommended plan (based on your Base GMV). Click Subscribe.
(Optional) If you expect growth, drag the GMV slider to choose a higher plan. The plan fee updates automatically.
If you are on a trial, a Subscribe – Monthly payment popup appears. Click Subscribe to go to Shopify’s confirmation page. For upgrades, click Upgrade in the Upgrade package – Monthly payment popup.
In Shopify Payments, click Approve.
⚠️ Important: You cannot subscribe to a package with a GMV limit lower than your current Base GMV (e.g., Base GMV $110K cannot choose Basic_3 at $50K).
"GMV Data May Be Incomplete" warning
When you click Subscribe, we check your Base GMV data from the last 3 months. If your data looks incomplete (for example, some months show $0 while others have sales), a warning popup appears before you continue.
The popup looks like this:

Your data may not be fully synced, as no GMV was detected for previous months. Subscribing now may lead to inaccurate pricing. Please verify your data or continue if it is correct.
You have two options:
Verify Data: Closes the warning and opens the Base GMV details so you can review the data Boost is using.
Continue Anyway: Closes the warning and proceeds to the Subscribe (monthly payment) popup.
💪 Tip: If you recently installed Boost or had a sync interruption, we recommend clicking Verify Data first. Subscribing with incomplete sync data may lead to inaccurate pricing in your first billing cycle.
