📖 Send specific queries straight to a landing page (collection, content page, or any URL) to avoid noisy results and guide shoppers faster.

Overview

When to use

  • Route informational queries (e.g., “shipping”, “store hours”) to pages instead of product results.

  • Catch typos/irrelevant terms and send shoppers to curated collections.

  • Promote campaigns, upsells, cross‑sells with targeted landing pages.

Notes & limits

  • Redirects override Synonyms if both are configured for the same term.

  • Redirects don’t trigger in the Instant search bar on collection pages.

Set up redirects

  1. From the app’s admin, go to Search > Standard Search > Redirects.

  2. Click + Add new.

  3. In Search terms, enter the keywords (separate by comma + space).

  4. In Redirect to, paste the destination URL (collection, page, or external).

  5. Click Save redirects.

💡 Redirect settings do not work in the instant search bar on collection pages. When a search term is configured with both Redirect settings and Synonym rules, the Redirect settings will be prioritized.

Edit, enable/disable, or delete

  1. From the app’s admin, go to Search > Standard Search > Redirects.

  2. Click Edit.

  3. Customize any search term and its redirect to your liking.

  4. Toggle the Status button of any redirect that you want to enable and disable.

  5. Click Save redirects.

  6. [Optional] To delete a redirect, check the Delete box of the corresponding search term. Click Delete selected. Click Delete in the Delete selected? pop-up.

Import and export redirects

Export redirects

  1. Search → Standard Search → Redirects → Export.

  2. In the popup, click Export to download your CSV backup.

  3. Review the file before editing.

Import redirects

  1. Prepare a CSV using the sample format from the Import dialog.

  2. Search → Standard Search → Redirects → Import.

  3. Choose file → Upload. Review the summary, then click Import.

  4. (Optional) Import more redirects to add additional files.

  5. Select View all redirects to confirm everything imported.

💡 If you hit errors, check column headers, quoting for special characters, and file encoding (UTF‑8).
